Honea Heights Improvements: Client-Town of Marana

This project was three different projects in one. In Honea Heights neighborhood we had to replace an existing 4" water main in an alley and regrade and pave the streets. The third was a 8" water main connecting two water systems together.

Fossil Creek Fish Barrier: Client-Bureau of Reclamation

The native fish restoration project involves the Tonto and Coconino National Forests and the Bureau of Reclamation. NAC Construction installed 2-4' natural looking fish barriers and 1 natural looking gabion dam. A few of the challenges were all of the items used to build and live at the site had to be flown in and out by helicopter. There was colored concrete placements. The helicopter was not allowed to land at the creek site. To redirect the flow of the creek we used rubber coffer dams. It was a 1.7 mile rough hike in and out. The site was secured 7 days a week.

The scope of our work was:                                                                                            

*  2 colored and textured fish barriers.
* 1 covered gabion flood control structure.
*  Storm Water Pollution Control/Maintenance.
*  Live at site to strict Forest  Bureau of Reclamation standards.
*  Use different routes in and out to protect native plants.
*  Helicopter materials to and from site.

This project was to build a cul-de-sac for six houses. This was a fast track job schedule.
